Spring Update 2026

Dear Friends, These days feel full—full of memories, full of transition, and full of reminders of God’s goodness. As we begin preparing for our upcoming home service, we’ve found ourselves doing a lot of reflecting—on the years behind us and the season just ahead. This fall marks 20 years of serving on the mission field—a milestone that still feels a little surreal. As we reflect, we keep going back to the beginning—arriving in Manila back in 2006 with two toddlers, stepping into language school, and honestly trying to figure out what this life as missionaries was really going to look like. We were taking in everything that felt so new—the language, the weather, the food—while trying to help our kids adjust at the same time we were adjusting ourselves. (Yes, Gilmer is Filipino but he comes from the mountains on the island of Mindanao-a completely different life and even language.) Fall Update 2025

Dear Friends, As we move toward the end of the year, our hearts are full of gratitude for all that God has been doing in our lives and ministry here in Davao. This year has been especially meaningful because it marks  our 20th year serving with SEND International . It’s hard to believe two decades have passed since we first stepped out in faith, trusting God to use our family however He desired. Looking back, we are overwhelmed by His faithfulness through every season—through joys, challenges, transitions, and the many lives we’ve been privileged to walk alongside. These past few months have been full of travel, connection, and opportunities to see God at work in ways both big and small. Summer Update 2025

We continue to see God at work in amazing ways—through students, short-term mission teams, and opportunities to share Christ. Here are some highlights and ways you can keep praying!   Praise Reports Josiah is in Kenya! Huge praise—Josiah raised all his support for his Royal Servants trip! He is now serving in Kenya, sharing Christ with local communities. Before leaving, he spent an extra month in the U.S., enjoying time with family and bonding with his new niece.
