June Prayer Letter

"I lift my eyes to the hills-where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, maker of heaven and earth."

Ps. 121: 1-2

“When are you guys leaving?” That’s the big question right now and the one we hear the most from anyone who knows about our journey. Unfortunately, the answer is that we don’t know for sure at this time. This is not only difficult for others to hear but it also makes planning nearly impossible. The reason we don’t have a definite time frame is because we need to be 100% supported before we can purchase plane tickets. The good news is that we are already at 84% of our monthly support and 40% of our outgoing need. For those of you who are visual people see the graph below.

Our goal right now is be back in the Philippines, Lord willing, by the end of August so that we can have the kids start school on time. We would hate to transfer them in the middle of the year since we have already moved 5 times in 4 years. All we can do is trust that God will provide in “His” timing not ours. Therefore, we ask you to pray about YOUR part in sending us back to minister to the Filipino people. Is God calling you to partner with us? Right now our biggest need is for faithful monthly/quarterly/yearly supporters.

Exciting and Encouraging Stories

About a week after we mailed out our latest Newsletter we received a call from a lady that we had met years ago. We asked her if we could share her story with you because we think that it is so encouraging to see God’s hand in our everyday lives. Sometimes we forget that others need to hear these stories as well.

This lady had attended a service that we spoke at years ago, we have not been back to that church since, and we met her only briefly. She signed up to receive our Newsletters but we really haven’t had any contact with her for years. She was about to receive an inheritance and had been praying about where she would give the tithe. The same day that she received the check in the mail for her inheritance was the same day that she also received our Newsletter. After reading our Newsletter she felt God call her to support us with the money she received!! She felt God had answered her prayers in a way that she knew for sure she was giving it to the right place. It was $11,500. WOW!

How humbled we are to be trusted with stories like these of God not only answering our prayers for the support we need to minister in the Philippines but answering that woman's prayer as well for where she should give her gift!

Road Trip

We plan to drive this July up to Michigan for our SEND Conference and to visit friends along the way. Please be praying for safe travels as well as good contacts made. If you live in one of the States on our way and would like to meet with us please let us know. We would love to see you and set up times to share about our ministry and what we will be doing when we go back to the Philippines.

Thank you for reading our blog and for your faithfulness in praying for us!! We really can’t do any of this alone, we are just a part of the body of Christ and we all must work together to accomplish His goals. Thank you for your part!!
