October Update

Dear Faithful Partners,

WE MADE IT!!!!!

For those of you who might not follow Facebook this might be news to you.

We flew in on Thursday night late (Oct. 14th) here in the Philippines (Thurs. morning in the States). The flights went well and the kids did a great job! All our bags arrived safely and we have been trying to adjust to the time difference. The kids were waking up at 3am for a week thinking it was time to play!

After less than 2 weeks here, we were already able to find a car and a possible house. That's very fast for Manila, considering it can usually take a month or more to find those things.

We would like to thank all of you who have been praying for us. It has been a very busy time for our family and yet we have seen how God has taken care of all our needs and continues to bless us!

Night out with the girls before we left! My sister Aimee from Colorado was also able to be there. Then there's my sister Shawna and my Mom (LaRee).

One last lake trip with Nana and Papa before we had to go. Probably not going to be skiing for a while!

Josiah saying "Goodbye" to one of his cousins.

Traveling!! Notice Josiah's carseat is strapped on to my carry-on. That thing was a lifesaver!

Passing the time at the airport. They are watching a movie.

Saying Hi to Nana and Papa!

Here we go!!

A nice rainbow by the kids school!

First day of school at Faith Academy in Manila! They started last Thursday and did great! Well Josiah didn't start school but he wanted to be matching :)

That's all for now. Remember our prayer and praise section is to the right hand side!

Serving Him,
The Paden Family
(Gilmer, Julie, Nhaya, Caleb, and Josiah)

This is a video of us driving (well we're not driving, our Director, Pastor James, is driving) here in Manila. So many of you ask what things are like here and this is one way to let you see for yourself. (you will need to pause the music on the right to watch this)

Great pictures and video. I was expecting this crazy, wild driving scene and then you just sat there---stuck! That must be a daily exercise in patience! Glad and thankful all has gone so well. We are praying for you.

Your entry brought so many memories! We miss the craziness of the Philippines (believe it or not!). We are so grateful that you have been able to return to continue doing your calling. I'm glad we're able to keep connected. The kids are really growing fast. Love you guys!

Thanks for the update Julie! That video is exactly what I imagined when you described driving in the Philippines! I hope you are all adjusting well. I am thinking about you!
