Extended Stay




Trying to find time alone to update all of you is not an easy task! I'm sitting in the public library right now hoping to get this finished by dinner time, Gilmer is at home taking care of the kiddos :) What a awesome husband who understands that trying to think at home with all the of "Mommy" questions was very difficult.

We are currently in Tucson and are planning on staying until the end of May- when the kids get out of school. We decided to stay for an extra 6 months partly because of support, partly because of the kids schooling, and partly because of medical things we wanted to make sure to take care of before heading back.

Thankfully everything that needed to be pushed back because of the delay has worked out just fine and we thank God for that.

So right now we are in the midst of sharing about our ministry with those interested, speaking in churches and small groups, and making sure that the kids are doing ok in school. Starting a new school has gone just fine and we are so grateful that they were able to attend the school at our home church here in Tucson. It makes adjusting much easier since they are already familiar with many of the people there. Currently Nhaya is in 6th grade, Caleb 4th, and Josiah started kindergarten.

Support Update

We are hoping to get our tickets back to the Philippines booked pretty soon. In order to do that we need to be 100% supported. Right now we still need $1,087 per month. Since our last update we have had $500 in new support per month! How exciting. We are looking forward to seeing how He will provide for the rest.

Prayer and Praise

-Gilmer had his tonsils taken out on January 6th (which was also our 13th wedding anniversary, good thing we celebrated early!) and recovery really well. He is already doing much better and can breath very well at night now. No more loud snoring :)

-The kids started school also on the same day, January 6th, and are all doing great there. Praise God for their teachers and the opportunity to be at a school that understands their unique needs.

-Praise God also for the new supporters that have joined our faithful team. What a blessing to have all of you a part of the work in the Philippines.

-Please be in prayer for the rest of our support to be raised soon so we can  purchase tickets. We will be sharing at many churches in the next few months and we are hoping to make new contacts to share our ministry with as well.

-Praise for the help that was able to be sent to the area of the Philippines that was hit by that huge hurricane on November 8th. So many people responded with gifts that our PSC team was able to take a trip there before Christmas to help rebuild. Continued prayer for that area and future trips is much appreciated. -Praising God that my back is doing much better. If you aren't aware, I've been having problems with it since I had Luke. Feeling better and being able to do more (including taking care of my growing toddler) is very encouraging.

Summer highlights, God's overwhelming provision and exciting news...

Be still – in the midst of battle, stop, lay down your weapons, allow yourself to be weak, and let go. The past few months have been overwhelming, yet looking back, we can't help but marvel at how God made everything work. Had we insisted on our own way, it could have been a mess. Well, we are happy to announce that we are all moved into our new house and are settling in. There is still much work to be done and the process has been long but we are seeing light at the end of the tunnel.
