Praises
1. Go Groups- is design to have an open conversation with believers who are interested in missions. It is a mission training. We are praying that through this we will be able to find those who are interested in pursuing missions and help them process it. We are also hoping that we can then assist them in getting to the mission field.
- Praise the Lord we now have three go groups- about 25 people meeting every two weeks and about 7 every week. Many are also interested in volunteering for us, that will be a huge help considering there are only 3 of us here and I'm the only full-time person.
2. Harvest Connection Seminar- Harvest Connection is a mission series that talks about the biblical basis of mission and touching on the state of the world today in missions- we offer this series to the churches.
- We praise the Lord that we have about 27 people that are going through this program currently and we have already finished teaching it at 2 other churches. Our goal for this is to assist churches in mobilizing their people for missions. We are praying that these churches will commit to sending short term teams next year- so far we have one church that are praying and hoping to send a short term team next year somewhere in Asia.
- I (Gilmer) will also be conducting Harvest Connection in a church about 8 hours drive from my our place on August 8-9- Cagayan de Oro City.
3. Volunteers- we praise the Lord that after a year being here that God raised some volunteers that will be partnering with us. Some of the volunteers will be coming with me to conduct a Harvest Connection 8 hours away from here.
4. Thank God for our faithful partners in ministry (prayer and financial). We praise God for all your sacrifices.
Prayer Requests
1. Pray for wisdom as we figure out schedules for the many opportunities to mobilize.
2. Pray for travel safety as we conduct missions seminars in different areas.
3. Pray for my trip to Cagayan de Oro City- I will be setting up a short term team to Asia for next year. Pray that I will have a good meeting with our contact.
4. Pray for our health. We have been going through minor sickness.
5. Pray for our kids as they will be starting another year of school next week.
6. Praise God for my wife, Julie, who is doing the high tech area of the ministry here. She is awesome.
