Fall 2022 Update

We are writing this update on the road...

Our plan to travel is finally happening. Our goal was to visit our ministry partners and friends on the way to Florida.

We have been driving from Tucson, AZ since September 29th. So far so good. We were able to connect with some long time friends and partners in ministry.

Fun is also included. We are now in Wilmington, North Carolina and will soon be in Florida. Wilmington has a a lot of fun stuff. We were able to visit their beaches, the Battleship Museum and celebrate their fall festival with fireworks on their downtown riverwalk . We also had a great time connecting with our partner church and individuals here in the city.

One of our challenges of this trip is the our kids schooling. Lord willing, our two kids will be able to find time to keep up with all their school work. It is a bit hard doing school in the car traveling. Our old car is doing well and we are all healthy.

We will be in Florida the rest of the month speaking at different churches around the state and visiting friends and partners. 

We praise God for this opportunity to travel. We also thank God for providing all our needs so far.

Please keep us in your prayers.

-Pray for continued safety, good health and successful time speaking and sharing in the churches and visiting our partners.

-Our goal is to go back the Philippines the first week of January 2023. This will give us enough time to set up, recruit leaders and members for our planned Filipino short-term missions trips in the summer of 2023. Lord willing, we will send a couple of teams. You might remember TEAM 4:5 from pervious updates. Due to covid, we have not been able to start until now. 

-Please pray that we will be able to raise our needed prayer and financial support before we leave. 

-Please also pray for our college kids, Nhaya and Caleb. Adjustment has not been easy for Caleb in his first year but he continues to push forward. Nhaya is doing well, working and going to school keeps her very busy.

Fun Times This Summer

We had a great time this summer before we had to send Nhaya and Caleb off to college. We had a family trip to the Grand Canyon and some fun hiking times together. The last photo is when we dropped Caleb off at GCU (Grand Canyon University). Nhaya had already been there for 2 weeks since she is a Resident Assistant (RA). 
 
This guy had a big birthday last August. He turned 10 years old!
We have enjoyed spending time with Julie's parents.

Well, we are happy to announce that we are all moved into our new house and are settling in. Summer highlights, God's overwhelming provision and exciting news...

"Be still and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth." Ps. 46:10   What an astonishing command and reminder! Be still – in the midst of battle, stop, lay down your weapons, allow yourself to be weak, and let go. The past few months have been overwhelming, yet looking back, we can't help but marvel at how God made everything work. Had we insisted on our own way, it could have been a mess. TEAM 4:5 First, we want to thank you so much for all your prayers, encouragement, and financial support. We couldn’t have done this without your partnership. Last year, our family took a vacation to the island of Palawan. We visited the place where Julie and I first met years ago, during a Teen Missions Team trip.
