March Prayer Update

Things have been picking up since our last update a couple months back. We'd greatly appreciate your prayers as we dive in very busy season.

Remember when we asked for your prayers for our trip to Thailand in January? Well, it was fantastic! We attended a Soul Care Retreat, which was incredibly rejuvenating. Also, Praise God for the opportunity to visit the Rubia's. You might recall them from earlier updates as the Filipino missionaries sent from our church here in Davao City.

Here's what's on the horizon for the next few months!

After years of anticipation, we're finally sending out the short-term teams we've been talking about.

  •   Both Gilmer and I will be leading teams—Gilmer will head the backpacking team, while I'll be leading the team to Thailand.
  • Josiah will join me (Julie) as a team member on the Thailand trip, and Luke will go along as a staff kid with Gilmer on the backpack team.
  •  We've also decided to change the location of the training camp and debrief to Palawan. It's an exciting move, but it also means a lot of travel back and forth.

There's a ton of work ahead, so please keep these requests in your prayers.

These are a few snapshots of the tribal region where the backpack team will journey into the mountains.
Support Online
Ice cream is tastier with friends! Our new ministry is off to a strong start thanks to the fantastic team supporting us. It's a blessing that some of them could join us and lend a hand in February. Praise God for their involvement!
Prayer Requests
  • There is so much to be done before June. Please pray for all the details to come together. Supplies, team members, support needs, promotion, paperwork, training materials, set-up and travel to name a few.
  • During our short-term trip, we aim to assist the tribal community by building a multipurpose building. Given their impoverished circumstances, this contribution would greatly enhance their livelihoods. The estimated cost for this project is $1,500. We kindly request your prayers for the provision of this need by the grace of the Lord.
In Christ,
The Paden Family
(Gilmer, Julie, Josiah and Luke)
